Is this unusual? I thought given the propensity of Solvunn towards gods and shrines that such a thing is rather commonplace.

I think it varies from person to person. But it took me several moons before I was able to make true contact with my first god. This one must see something in you!

Only in that I am a necromancer.

( and has done SO much murder. but she's pretty sure a god of death and perhaps funeral rights isn't coming to her because she's good at killing. there's a god of murder for that.

Perhaps it was just a matter of being related? Corpses, and all that. The details likely don't matter to the gods here like they do back in my world.

To be honest, I'm not sure what they really believe of the afterlife... They seem to just rely on the gods themselves to carry it out.

But funerary rites and whatnot? That does seem important.

How strange. In my world we know well the afterlife, and how to reach in and take someone from it if need be.

I am not completely certain, to be honest. It... involves putting things to rest. Only one was alive before -- the rest are certainly dead when I am led to them.

That depends. To the Fugue Plane, first. There they await the arrival of someone that acts with the authority of one of the gods -- or powers -- of my universe and are then ushered to their final plane of existence in the realm of that power. But even that isn't always the case, for they can never reach the Fugue Plane, or they can be called back. They can be swayed by devils coming to find those they can turn into more of their kind.

It... is strange to think of there only being one destination for the deceased. Limiting, even.

Not so much strange as interesting? I feel that every star has a different way things have

arisen? Set up? I'm not sure what the right word is.
