The most popular gods are ones that are tied to nature and the seasons. Like the Lyfbringr, who sounds a lot like their name. They're worshiped heavily in the Spring at the Equinox, sort of symbolizing that switch from the dead of winter to the life giving time of spring. Deities like that don't sound so bad, right?

As for the Singularity, they seem to think that it is what it is and it should be left as is from what I can tell. They do view us Summoned with a sort of reverence. They believe we've been chosen by the gods.

I do think they believe they're greater beings, just not ones worthy of worship. Truth be told they didn't want to talk about them much at all. I'm not sure if it's superstition that it would invite more of their ilk on the land or not. So I figured it would be easier to just go to the source.

Yes. I've gotten responses at shrines before at smal levels so I thought it was worth an attempt. It took a while but I believe I did make contact with the one known as "Koth".

Did it deliver you a message?

I mentioned before that my domain is a temple shaped like a tower. It's devoted to my own god, not one from Abraxas. When the heralds appeared my domain began acting strangely. The tower would hum and the earth would shake.

I know quite a few domains were affected that week, but I only know of one other that behaved the exact same way.

It was hard to really grasp what it was saying. It felt a lot like... a mass of thoughts and feelings, if that makes sense? Not all of them I could follow. But what I did keep hearing again and again sounded a lot like "mission".

I've not a clue what that refers to, though.

The other domain is a tall, stone monolith. He explained that these monoliths are scars on the land from some cataclysmic event. The owner didn't say it's connected to any gods from his world, but some people there do consider them holy.

I didn't find any damage to my own domain after it was all over. But the earthquakes gave the sense of something... beneath the surface.

Strange, yes. Considering everything that's happened once they appeared, I can't imagine their mission is something wholesome.

I wonder...when everything began going haywire here, the Horizon was also going awry. Could these heralds really have power in that place too?

But I thought only the Summoned could?

Do we know for sure that it's always only been Summoned able to affect in Horizon? From what I've been told natives aren't able to make the same connection but

That's what we're led to believe, but...

I guess I just assumed. But you're right, I never thought to ask. I'm not sure if the mages would say much otherwise since they weren't very keen in discussing them in the first place.

If we can come from any star at any time, then why can't other beings? Mayhaps they were incidentally summoned...

Weren't there others that were summoned long before us? That's what the history texts here say, if little else.

From what it sounds like, yes. Though I don't know how long before. It seems like it was only recently that summoning began again, especially outside of Throne.

There are just a few of us left from that first bout.

It's okay. It's just a little strange to think how much time has passed then. And we still have so many of the same unanswered questions.

I shall! And while I've seen my fair share of statues, I'm not sure why you would be stationing gas, so I'd like to see that as well.

It's a convenient shop that sells fuel for vehicles, but also many little treats, like candies and sugar drinks.

You will have to try the nachos and cheese. It tastes nothing like actual cheese, but it's delicious.
